Sublime & Ridiculous

Beauty may be in the eye of the beholder but only the hugely shortsighted could fail to see the attraction of Yorkshire's built landscape. From the humble terrace to the stately home; from mill to office monolith - all have something to offer those with an open mind.

The Victorian influence still stands tall in towns throughout the manufacturing heartlands of South and West Yorkshire. But you can also drink in some remarkable contemporary architecture if you're that way inclined. Don't forget either that the county has served as an inspiration to some of the UK's most creative artists.
